If both the adoptive parent(s) and the birth parent(s) reside in the state of Colorado, an Intrastate Adoption would be conducted, and both parties can be represented by Mi Yungs Prayer.
If either the adoptive parent(s) or birth parent(s) reside outside of Colorado, an Interstate Adoption would be conducted. One party must reside in Colorado. Each state must give their approval for the child to leave and enter another state, the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children (ICPC) would be applicable and used for this process.
After the placement of the child with the adoptive parent(s):
Mi Yung Prayer would provide support and counseling.
A provisional foster care licensing for the adoptive parent(s) would be issued from the time of placement until the finalization of the adoption.
Post placement home visits and reports would be required by the court which will be reviewed to ensure the best interests of the child are being met to finalize the adoption.
